Presented and produced by The Saul Zaentz Charitable Foundation, we are proud to bring you the next iteration of Starting at Zero with our new podcast hosted by Jeana Ross. Jeana is the Strategic Advisor on Early Education Policy & Practice for the Saul Zaentz Charitable Foundation. She formerly served as the Secretary of Alabama’s Department of Early Childhood Education.

In each episode, Jeana will interview key players in early childhood education at every level, including practitioners, policymakers, advocates and parents. Our aim is to create a comfortable space for these conversations with the goal of informing and inspiring our listeners, and together working toward action and change to improve the lives of young children.

The Starting at Zero Podcast with Jeana Ross is slated to launch in Februrary 2024.

Much of the conversation around ECE comes in the way of meetings, formal interviews and webinars. The SZCF’s impetus behind launching the Starting at Zero Podcast is to invite the conversation into an intimate setting, perhaps with a cup of coffee in hand. Get to know Jeana Ross and a variety of guests who are in the field, with their hands in the sandbox, doing the work. These relevant, yet casual, discussions will center around the common goal of building an equitable foundation for the successful futures of all children.
